By pumping water, they help bring oxygen and nutrients to the sponge while also removing waste and carbon dioxide. Flagella are attached to the ends of the cells and they help pump water through the sponge’s body. The first are the collar cells, which line the canals in the interior of the sponge. Sponges are made of four simple and independent cells. A.c) Amoeba's contractile vacuole got dissappered whenit moved from beaker B back to beaker A because beaker A had marine water which is salty and hypertonic compared to Amoeba cell so no excess water entering inside Amoeba by osmosis so no contractile vacuole required to eliminate excess water of Amoeba. This excess water have to be eliminated so contractile vacuole gets formed to eliminate excess waterb entering Amoeba. A.b)Amoeba developed a new contractile vacuole when it moved from beaker A to beaker B because beaker A was concentrated as it was marine water so no need of contractile vacuole whose ,job is to eliminate excess water entering Amoeba by osmosis.Beaker B had marine water which is hypotonic compared with Amoeba cell s inside so water diffuses much more than required. The contractile vacuoles disappeared when the amoeba was moved from beaker B back to beaker A. An amoeba was moved from beaker A to beaker B.
